The Institute no longer provides services for relief of pain or the management of an urgent dental condition. All unscheduled dental care services have now been relocated to Chalmers Dental Centre at no. 3 Calmers Street, on the west side of Lauriston Building.
The Institute is housed in modern, well-designed premises. There are 40 dental units, all comprehensively equipped. There is a Day Surgery Unit supporting surgical treatment under general anaesthesia and sedation, modern facilities for Dental Radiology and a fully developed Dental Laboratory. The following departments may provide services for patients on referral:
